Established in 1979, Chapman Avionics specialises in sales, installation and integration of aircraft avionics systems backed up by specialist workshops and line maintenance services. The Brisbane workshop has the capability to test, repair and overhaul an extensive range of instrument and radio equipment, Our CASA approved CAR35/36 design authority supports our installation and line maintenance team covering all small and most regional airline aircraft. Our Newcastle facility specialises in Military support, particularly the LIF Hawk avionics, the C130J cockpit and the Kaman SH2G-2A Super SeaSprite Generators.

Chapman Avionics was aquired by Smiths Aerospace in April 2001 to support the growing Smiths product range in Australia. Smiths Aerospace designs and manufactures advanced avionics and electrical systems in the UK and the United States, and supplies the major constructors with integrated systems.
